Our signature all-red saffron threads (sargol grade), harvested by hand and packed in small batches to preserve aroma and color. One gram is enough for roughly 20–30 dishes, from golden rice to fragrant tea.

How to Use

Grind a small pinch (10–15 threads) with a mortar and pestle, then steep in 2–3 tablespoons of warm — not boiling — water for 10–15 minutes. Add the deep golden liquid, threads and all, at the end of cooking.

Storage Instructions

Keep the jar tightly closed in a cool, dark cupboard, away from sunlight and humidity. Properly stored, saffron keeps its character for up to two years.

What Makes It Premium

Only the deep-red stigma tips make it into the jar — no yellow style, no broken dust, no fillers. Each batch is checked by hand for uniform color, strong aroma, and clean, dry threads.

The Three Marks of True Saffron

Color

Deep crimson threads that release a slow, golden hue in warm water — never an instant, artificial red.

Aroma

A honeyed, hay-like fragrance with a whisper of earthiness. If a jar smells like nothing, it is nothing.

Flavor

Delicately bitter and floral, unmistakable in rice, tea, and desserts. A little transforms the entire dish.

Questions About This Product

How many dishes does 1 gram make?

Roughly 20–30 dishes. A good pinch is 10–15 threads — a little saffron goes a long way.

Is this whole thread or powder?

Whole threads only. Whole threads let you see exactly what you're buying — powder is far easier to adulterate.

What grade is this saffron?

All-red sargol grade: the tip of the stigma, cut above the yellow style, prized for color and aroma.
